Richard was still holding his chest tightly, and I asked him “is there anything specific that you would like prayer for?” Pastor Greg interpreted to me “He has a bad chest pain.”

We put our hands on Richard, prayed and I commanded by the authority that is in Jesus Christ that Richard receive physical healing, that the pain and the problem in his chest be removed immediately. I felt the Holy Spirit come and the presence of God was real.

After the prayer I noticed that Richard wasn’t holding his chest anymore. I asked him “how do you feel?” He started to stretch and bend and move around and he smiled and said “walay sakit” which means the pain is gone.

We talked to Richard some more and he was very excited that God had healed him, the whole time he kept stretching and rubbing his chest and smiling, we could see from his face that he had personally experienced a miracle!

This event was part of a short term missions trip by an Australian team. We recorded Richard’s details so that the local church members could follow him up and invaded him to a bible hand-out event in a few days time which he came to.

This is just one story of one man’s supernatural encounter with God and evidence that we can (and as Christians, should be) doing what Jesus did, in relationship with (and by the power of) the Holy Spirit!

Well what can I say, another miracle,???????????  He has done it again!!!

Last night I attended a “Thank God It’s Friday” (TGIF) soaking and healing session at our Newcastle meeting (a suburb in Newcastle). The co-director, Tom Aysom, had gone bowling this week, on Monday night, and sadly Tom had a major accident. Ha had twisted his back, and as a result of this was in acute pain in his lower back.

Tom had gone to the hospital, and was ordered to take the week off work to rest, and also was given heavy drugs to assist in pain management. Yes, Tom is a Godly man and was in prayer all week and we all prayed for healing, but God wanted to do it His way.

When I arrived from Sydney, to help facilitate the night session, I was shocked to see Tom’s condition. I told him to grab a pillow and lay on the carpet, and I said… “it is your time to receive.”

I preached the word of God on Healing, Exodus 15:26, and various, by the Holy Spirit. After preaching I put on soaking music. Around 25 minutes into soaking, the Lord gave me a vision of Tom’s back, and I saw a twisted portion, and bones separated. God told me to speak into these bones (Ezekiel 37) for the bones to be healed in Jesus’ name.

When I spoke out, I witnessed a sort of grey/black ‘mirage’ come off Tom, just after this left Tom’s body, I then saw like silver sparkles falling into Tom’s stomach area. I knew that Tom had been completely healed, this was a true miracle from our Lord, as shortly after witnessing this amazing supernatural sign and wonder, Tom jumped up onto his feet giving praise to Jesus.

Wow, what a great time to be alive, as to witness the living God heal in the most profound way.

AMEN.

I barely survived my birth, being born with a severe life threatening disease called Maningi Varient, which originated from chemical poisoning. Diagnosed with multiple chemical sensitivity, chronic depression and severe chronic fatigue; I was too sick to go to school, was considered ‘disabled’ and grew up feeling sick, depressed and afraid. Doctors could not offer me a cure, I saw no way out and I attempted suicide at 18, then through a supernatural miracle I was healed, restored and set free from my messed-up life and forever changed. I found the cure!

This is my testimony, but it’s not my story, this is God’s story; it’s about what He has done in my life, because I don’t have the power to save myself.

What Life was Like

When I was born I had massive infections all over my body (in my eyes, umbilical chord, toe nails, mouth etc.) and the doctors thought I had meningitis, but I was soon diagnosed with bronchitis which I suffered from for 6 months. I caught the disease in utero as a result of my Mother being highly exposed to chemicals prior to my birth.

My parents were desperate to help me and asked some people at church to pray for me, after I was prayed for I improved but later I still got severely sick with many different diseases which would come and go and attack my body and mind in a terrible way.

I remember lots of strange and miraculous things happening, especially physical healing such as wounds, cuts and deformities that I had would suddenly disappear after they were prayed over, and many other supernatural things.

When I was 5 I became extremely sick and I couldn’t walk so my parents took me to a travelling pastor in Foorbes, he prophesied over me that I would be used by God when I grew up and would bless many people and he prayed that I would be healed, then my sickness left me and I became better.

I had a break from sickness but I suffered greatly from an intense fear of being sick and I struggled to control my mind and thoughts. I had a learning disability and started to get sick again and never went to school. I was disabled, and not capable of a normal life.

Then sickness took me again and my quality of life become very bad, I rarely left my house and I had to wear a facial mask that had a special filter in it whenever I left the house because I would badly react to the outside air and its fumes and chemicals which are everywhere. I was diagnosed with chemical sensitivity and I tried to go to school several times, but my sickness was too severe and I never received a formal education until I went to TAFE and completed years 9 and 10 at the age of 15½. And even though I’d never studied before I easily passed everything which was supernatural and I give the credit to God.

I experienced supernaturally great and powerful things, but I also felt an evil presence in my life. I wanted to reach out to God, I knew He was real, but I felt weighed down with suffering as I was still very sick.

At that time, as a teenager, I became very depressed and suicidal, feeling violently sick constantly and I lost my mind to severe anxiety and anti-depression medications and became totally ‘messed-up’. While this was happening my Mum was extremely sick, as she had the same disease I had, and she never left her bed and was always so close to death but instead of dying as we repeatedly expected she continued to suffer beyond what I thought human suffering could endure.

I was aware of God and had the smallest of hope that He could help us, but whenever I tried to know God I would be attacked by fear and I would feel darkness surrounding me and an evil presence around me. I knew this was the devil, but I would feel too scared to trust God.

I also got drunk and ran away from home a lot and I had various bad addictions and was regularly seeing psychologists and psychiatrists.

Delivered from despair – found hope for life

When I was 18 I tried to kill myself many times, usually by electrocuting myself; which I miraculously survived every time, but once I tried to hang myself and in the attempt I was stopped by the smallest of hope inside of me that told me there was a way out. Still being totally desperate for anything, I let a friend called Dan Liu take me along to a Friday night Youth Group service at a local church and I heard that I could know and be in a relationship with Jesus just by believing in him and to stop doing selfish things, and when I heard the preacher talk I remember feeling impacted by every word he said as if it was thunder coming from his mouth. So I prayed with one of the guys and committed my life to Jesus and repented (which meant to stop living for myself and start living for God). This filled me with such a massive hope and I believed that God would save me and transform my life and the more I believed this the more it really happened!

Gradually all the broken things in my life were repaired and I felt that God really loved me and had a purpose for me. The fear and anxiety gradually started to leave me as I let the negativity in my mind was replaced with hope. I had been rescued!

But I still felt more or less the same person, I still struggled with many of the same things, I still felt guilty for doing bad things and still felt distant from God at times. I felt it was hard to be disobedient to God.

Healed and given a new life in the Spirit

Soon after this I went down to Sydney to attend a Hillsong Church Conference (my friend Dan Liu gave me his mum’s (Jenny Gourlay) ticket) with Dan and his father Edward Gourlay. Dan, Jenny and Edward were praying and believing that I would be healed and my Mum and Dad and many others were also praying for me.

During one of the sessions at Conference, a pastor invited people to come up to the front to be healed so I instantly made my way to the front. I remember worshipping God and feeling Him inside me and feeling flooded by knowing revelations and truths about my life as if God was speaking to my spirit. Then I fell to the ground and cried uncontrollably for a long time. When I got up from a large pool of tears I saw a woman standing in front of me, she seemed to glow with an amazing beauty, she reached out her right hand and touched my left shoulder and said ‘he is gone now’ and I fell to the floor and began crying again. Later when I got up again there were several men surrounding me and everyone else had left the building, I asked where the woman I saw had gone and they all said they hadn’t seen anyone the whole time, so I knew it was supernatural experience. Edward was there, he said it was probably an angel.

Later at the conference on Thursday the 7^th July 2004, Edward and I attended an elective called Moving in the Spirit, during the session I felt the presence of God again and something very special and very profound happened; God’s Spirit was moving through the people around me and like a charge of electricity the Spirit of God entered me as someone laid their hands on me. I could feel the powerful presence of God in my body and in my mind; I felt like I was flying and I started speaking in tongues (which I had never done before and it was like talking to God in another language).

I believe now that it was that moment that I received the Holy Spirit. Because ever after that moment I have felt that I have had God inside of me and there has never been a time when I have felt away from Him and there’s no way I can hide from Him or escape Him, because I believe at that moment I was raised from being spiritually dead and separated from God to being alive in Jesus (being given the life that Jesus purchased for me when He rose from the dead after having died for my sin.

I felt different and changed and I felt healed and on that day I made a firm decision to really repent (to live life God’s way) and I was released from my addictions (sin had lost its power), I instantly stopped my anti-depression medication and other meds and I totally surrendered my life to God realising that I can do nothing without Him!

I remain healed to this day (although there are still some reminders of my past condition) and I continue to experience many amazing supernatural things because I continue to follow Jesus.

I left my old life behind and God has set me free and I am so thankful because I know I don’t deserve this freedom.

The ongoing fight

Before I was saved I had no hope of ever achieving anything; I had no education, learning disabilities, health issues, mental problems, relationship problems, addictions, couldn’t drive a car, couldn’t live a normal life. But then God offered me a new life, a much better life and all my disability, issues, and problems were taken away.

Now I enjoy every day, I work full-time in Information Technology, married to a wonderful wife and I focus my life on loving and serving God and sharing my blessing to others.

I take serving God (ministry) seriously (because serving God is the main reason I exist), but I try not to take myself too seriously (because Jesus is my righteousness, health, strength… and I have nothing apart from Him).

But I’m still human; I make mistakes and stuff up like everyone, but I always go back to God.

One big mistake I’ve made was to get distracted and I started to take for granted the healing and power that I had received. I became focused on ministry (helping others, and serving others), and on people and programs and plans and I did too much out of my own strength and understanding and it failed.

God recently reminded me that if I try to live and minister without ‘continuing’ to receive power from the Holy Spirit I will fail. By myself I am a failure, but THROUGH God I will succeed in what He wants me to do!

So now when I do ministry I try to make sure I’m doing it to please and serve God, not other people, and that I do it because it’s what God wants me to do, not because of the agenda of people or even myself. In doing this I’ve learnt the hard way that I have to rely on God to direct me (and not use my own understanding), because everyone (myself included) all have their own agenda, but if Jesus is my motive then He will direct.

I’m not perfect, I still falling away from the right path and have problems, but I am not ruled or controlled by them because I live in the victory that Jesus has over me.

This was the opening night, ‘the planting’, of a new revolutionary movement called ‘Thank God it’s Friday’, pioneered by Edward and Jenny Gourlay 15 years ago. This healing and gathering model is used by Edward and Jenny Gourlay globaly. Three years ago a “Thank God It’s Friday”  (TGIF) was started in Sydney, and ran for a short period, (5 months) due to Edward and Jenny’s evangelism call to the East it was shut down. This mixed denominational approach was, well simply put amazing.The good news of it spread quickly to people who had walked away from church, or was simply over it. It was found that there are a large group of people who were wrongly judged, or just did not fit into the ‘norm of the church.’

People are releasd in their giftings, of if they are not understanding where they fit in, the group encourages them. TGIF is a safe place, and we are not interested in the past, only in the presence of a loving healing Father, through his son Jesus. We see amazing healings, miracles and peole find true peace and are blessed.

Newcastle was chosen to re start “Thank God It’s Friday,” due to a vision God gave Edward over the last months, and as we have chosen to seek God we also ‘caught’ the vision and are running with it and God has given us many signs and confirmations that this is right.

There were a few of us gathered in the hall, then we started to lie down as some soft intimate music was played. At first my mind was still racing about work and schedules and ‘stuff’! but as I lay there my mind started to rest, I focused on God, my maker, my creator; Jesus, the lover of my sole. I started to talk to God, I could feel His presence flowing through me, I could hear several others crying around me. God was here! And we simply let Him in. We didn’t get in the way of Him with our busy programs or activities or routines.

As I continued to lie on the floor, I took myself out of the equation, I wasn’t thinking about myself anymore and then God took me on a journey; He gave me images, feelings, brought back memories of my past that I’d forgotten, He showed me things and I was very moved in my spirit.

I felt intimacy with God, and was refreshed and renewed! I had eaten from the bread of life (John 6:35), I had soaked up the Spirit of the living God!

Later, Eddy preached the Word of God and read from the book of Isaiah, and then signs and wonders followed as Stuart gave prophesy over many of us who gathered including me, the prophesy for me was completely accurate and proved that it had come from God as there was no way Stuart would have known what he said.

God revealed to my wife and I that we had to forgive each other for not submitting to each other and we did this in front of the gathering.

Others received amazing spiritual breakthrough and their lives will never be the same!

This was a breakthrough night! And it will only get better as long as we keep listening to God and do what He says.

It is a prevailing to be involved in this ground breaking revolutionary ministry!

Summary:
When Friday the 8th April came along I was feeling desperate; I had been stressed, tired and frustrated all week, which is really bizarre for me; usually I’m really happy and passionate. But this week so many people said to me “Tom are you ok?”, “Tom, you don’t look well”, “Tom, is everything ok?”. All week I felt so lost, so empty, I got angry at meaningless things, I wasn’t myself and just wished I could get my joy back!

I needed help, but my problem wasn’t physical or mental, it was spiritual; so I sent text messages to a bunch of friends to pray for me. Others were also praying hard for me that day and later that day I really felt a battle going on around me in the spirit realm…

Full Story:
This all started last Sunday on the 3rd of April when I went with some friends to a church I hadn’t been to before; at the end of the service I went up the front and knelt down in worship to God – I started to pray and sing out to God as I was so happy and filled with His love, but straight away I was distracted by someone touching my shoulder. I tried to ignore whoever it was but they kept touching me so I looked up and saw a total stranger who had a grim deathly face and his eye peered down into mine. I knew there was something very wrong about him, I tried to shut him out but he persisted in continuing to touch me and look at me, he even lied down in front of me and I felt so ‘creeped out’!

A friend of mine at the back of the church saw it happen too, he said he saw a dark presence come over me. We both agreed it was an evil spirit and this guy was full of demons.

That night I had terrible nightmares which is really unusual for me, but the bad dream was followed by a dream where my wife and I were talking about how we needed to read the Bible every day and put on the armour of God.

Then all week I felt like I had been robbed of my joy and peace! I was a follower of Jesus and since I came to know and believe in God I always felt He was with me, He was my love and happiness, but now I felt so empty inside, like I hadn’t known God at all. I was lost.

I used the Word of God as a weapon to fight off the enemy, saying that ‘no weapon forged against you will prevail’ Isaiah 54:17, and I put on the full armour of God. And several people prayed for me, but still I felt oppressed and under attack.

Then on Friday I couldn’t take it anymore so I sent out a mobile text message to lots of people to pray for me. So I head heaps of people praying and interceding for me and for the rest of the day I felt the presence of God blowing through me like a tingling sensation and I felt the evil presence of the enemy being broken down around me – I felt like crying or yelling as my sadness and frustration was gradually transformed into joy! This was supernatural.

This was a very important night because it was the opening night of Thank God it’s Friday, which is a new revolutionary movement where people gather together to wait on the Lord, soak in His presence and be transformed and healed by His power!

This new movement was being planted for the first time in Newcastle (my backyard) by Edward Gourlay, who is a missionary in China, a director of Healing Rooms in China, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong. Edward is a very good friend and God had given him the vision for starting this new ministry in Newcastle with me.

This was the opening night. This was the tip of the spear! We were starting something new and the enemy wanted to destroy it, but he had already lost!

The night was amazing; I lied down and listened to soft intimate music, as I cleared my mind and focused on God I felt an amazing peace. While I was lying on the floor God took me through several past experiences, I had visions and imagery come to mind and God spoke to my heart. I felt younger, lighter, I really felt at peace and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Later that night several people prayed for me and spoke out words of wisdom and knowledge to me that God had given them.

It was so refreshing to do something that wasn’t about programs or agendas of people, but simply all about allowing God to come and do whatever He wants to do!

And I really feel delivered ‘set free’ from the evil spirit that tried to hang around me. This was a miracles, an answer to prayer! This was deliverance. Thanks to God for hearing the prayers of my friends (thanks everyone for praying), and thank you Lord for giving me His Word of truth which says that ‘no weapon forged against you will prevail’!

I hope what God has done for me will be an encouragement for you!

Sydney Opera House

The ‘crew’ arrived full of expectation, the Opera House was prayed over in and out. The ‘power House’ was set up that being the intercession team, and they interceeded from 2pm practice-7pm start time until 10pm finish time.

There was achallenge as there were so many young children, they wer running around yelling screaming…we were targeting at the un-saved youth/adults. I became a bit concerned as during quiet songs the presence was disturbed by the noise. As a result some left..I know it wasn’t their time to hear the truth, though my heart goes out to them.

We just carried on believing for a ‘break-through.’ The new group to be with us this year were so moved as they were never able to evangelize in their church. Wheb our group was on strage doing trials they were watching. They saw the Love of God on them, and they wanted this. Before the 7pm start I spoke to all groups, reminding them it was NOT about uis, not to be in a ‘performing’ spirit, Be in the presence of the Holy Spirit, and expect Him to permform-not us, it’s all about Him.

People from the other group were weeping, I went up to them and asked what was happening? One said, ” I love the joy you and your people have-we want this” another said “We have heard about you coming and doing thid evamgelism, and I and many others have judged you, now we see the truth, about bringing people to Jesus” and another was spirit filled-she had not been spirit filled until this night, her comment…”I don’t think I can perform’ my comment back..good now Jesus will use you!!

Still noise, it’s the last song to do a alter call, now I’m a bit nervious…we sing ‘Spirit Come’ and yes,..guess what just in time (His time) He turns up (He was always there), a quiet a stillness fell on the house..ALL the children were rendered full of peace. It seemed time stopped..just stillness peace and emence love fell.

The call was made, 289 came to Him (I am full of tears as I type this).

The stress and cost would have been worth it if just 1 (one) came to Hin…but 289..open evangelism..now this is a true miracle..a true sign and a true wonder!!!!

If you can’t see this I pray that the scales fall off your eyes.
