Healings At Clinic In Mae Sot, Thailand
A friend of ours, Shane Abrahams, has been working with Karen refugees in Mae Sot, Thailand. Shane visits the Mae Tao Clinic once a week to pray for the sick and share the love of Jesus with the patients. He recently discovered that these visits are bringing miraculous results.
Shane shares his story in his monthly newsletter, The Border Post:
I visit the Inpatients Department (IPD) once a week, and spend an hour or two meeting the patients and praying for them.
During my visits to the IPD, I work with one of the department’s staff members who acts as my guide and translator. The staff member was asked by the departments head to help me, because his English is very good. However, he is a Buddhist, which is a minor concern for me.
Nonetheless, he is always quite eager and seems to appreciate how my visits can be of benefit to the patients.
In fact, on a recent visit, he told me that the patients I pray with tend to recover quickly and are usually discharged a day or two after I pray for them.
Praise God. I never expected to hear a Buddhist testifying to the power of Christian prayer!
